Bob & Sarah's 2017 Home Country 'Walk About'
What/Where/How: A llama trek around the heart of wild Idaho encompassing the mountain ranges of the Smoky, Sawtooth, Middle Fork of the Salmon River East and West Slope, White Cloud, Boulder and Pioneer. The horse-shoe shaped route begins near the Snake River Plain’s Shoshone Ice Caves and ends at the Plains’ Craters of the Moon National Monument.
When: Wed July 5 to Fri September 22, 2017
Who: Partners Bob Jonas and Sarah Michael – wild country explorers; residents of Ketchum, Idaho. Llamas rented from Beau & Kirsten Baty, owners of Wilderness Ridge Trail Llamas, Idaho Falls, Idaho
Why: A celebration of the wild nature of a beloved home country, a life partnership and Bob’s 75th birthday. Also, we are raising money for the 2018 class of Wild Gift fellows by asking people to make Wild Miles pledges for each of the 500 miles traveled. You support will motivate us to keep going when the trail gets tough!
